About Me

While everyone in school wanted to grow up to be Police officers, Teachers and millionaires all I wanted to do was runaway and live with the horses. Yes, I was and still am that crazy horse girl everyone talked about. Id find anyway to make a school project about horses. Once I graduated High school I had absolutely no idea what I wanted to go to school for. Eventually, I  ended up going into Childcare and completed half a year of college and multiple certifications while working at two separate daycares. I found out that as much as I loved the children I was teaching it just wasn't the job for me.... my heart wanted me to take a different path. Growing up around horses and being a participant in my county's 4-h Horse shows I knew I needed to look for a Equine related job. I searched everywhere and went to all the clinics that I could just to learn about anything Equine related! Once I found what I wanted I packed it up and moved. Originally born and raised in Wisconsin I am now a proud  resident of West Tennessee.

Schooling

Graduating High school in 2016 I went on my long journey to find where my heart wanted to be. Turns out my heart and soul just cant walk away from our four-legged hooved fur babies. The nicker alone would make me stay and never leave. I continued to do clinics and online classes to absorb as much Equine knowledge as I could. I completed my Equine Management and Health certification in 2018 from the University of Florida and went onto getting my certification as a Equine Myo-manipulative Functional Therapist in 2020 thanks to Angels Animals L.L.C. and UWF. I have completed 50+ hands on hours on a variety of different horses/mules all with different lifestyles. I am currently still enrolled and continuing  to study Equine Therapy in hopes of getting certified in Canine/Feline therapy, Equine Sacral Therapy and Kinesiology Taping.

My Horses

Like many equestrians I have had many horses come and go throughout my life. I lost my four-legged bestfriend in High school and that crushed me. Although he was not mine it had broken me to the point where I didn't even want to see another horse. Eventually, I learned I needed horses in my life, not only for the ridding but for my depression which quickly grew due to family issues and loosing my bestfriend. I moved onto my first lesson horse for 4-H. Smokey ( first picture) was my very first lesson in the horse world. That being said he taught me to never judge a person or a horse by what they look like or how they act. Smokey was a blind Percheron/Halflinger cross who quickly became my heart horse. We learned together and grew together as we became an amazing, unstoppable  pair. Once I got older I realized that I would eventually be told old to do 4-H and my time with Smokey would run thin ( ridding wise) so I started looking into getting my own horse. It took me forever because I had such a strong bond with Smokey  … I felt like I was replacing him. I looked at multiple horses but none of them connected with me until I found Chance. Chance was stumbled upon by accident on a "Rescue Page" on Facebook. I never went to see him in person heck I did even know if he was real but all I knew was that I was in love with him. I quickly gained enough money to save him from being shipped to slaughter. He arrived safe and sound about three to four days later. Chance ( second picture) was a skinny, scared, beautiful mess.  Him and I spent an enormous amount of time together and we quickly gained each others trust. At the time we had an upcoming show when I noticed he was favoring his front left leg. I later found out that he has a pretty sever case of low Ringbone and would never be a show horse. I looked everywhere for a "cure" or a "procedure" to help it but couldn't find anything. That's the moment i decided to go into Equine Therapy. Chance as grown tremendously since I have started Equine Massage on him. Every now and then he will have a notable limp but as far as we know he is not in any pain and continues to amazing me everyday with his willingness to learn and his fiery spirit. Moving to Tennessee was a big change for him and I so I decided to find him a pasture mate. Honey is a 9 year old Donkey and she gives the name donkey a run for your money. Fiery and sassy she will always be the center of attention.
